Favorite 2019 Amazon Travel Purchases

Last year, I traveled many new places and picked up some awesome items to ease my journey along the way. A lot of these items I purchased through Amazon. I love Amazon because I can buy many different things all in one place and get prime shipping, which is especially great when you are in a time crunch. Here are some of my favorite purchases of 2019 I bought on Amazon.

Maui Vera organic sunburn relief

I first tried this Maui Vera moisturizer when I fell asleep in my best friend’s backyard in Vegas and got a pretty nice sunburn on my face… in March. Luckily, my homie, McCall Pome’e, had the goods to relieve my sunburn pain and help it go from red to brown in a couple days. As soon as I got home I bought my own and have used nothing else. I have fair skin that can hold tan well but not over night. This product is great. I have used it on my face, chest, and arms without any breakouts. I love the soothing mint and how fast it turns my pink to brown with minimal peeling.

3D sleep eye mask

We purchased this two pack for our last trip to England. Having some very Sith photos from trying to sleep the trip before, I really wanted to avoid another embarrassing photo opportunity. I loved it so much, I use this eye mask when I need to take a pick-me-up nap when it is still light out. Some of the reasons this brand in particular is my favorite is that the mask isn’t pressed against your eyelids like other masks are, which means you can open your eyes and see that it is dark and it doesn’t squish your eyelashes. I also loved how soft it was on my face, where the mask touches, and it is very lightweight and easy to pack.

Makeup brush bag

I don’t always travel with a lot of makeup but regardless I always take this makeup organizer bag. This bag is great because it is super compact and has a zip to close. I love that it has an easy to wipe down interior, the vinyl like material means any makeup residue can be wiped off with a wet wipe or wet cloth. What is also great about the makeup bag is that when open it stands up on its own. I never have to put my brushes on a counter top that might be iffy. It has little brush holders along the edge and a decent opening. It helps my brushes keep their shape and still some how is super compact. I literally never travel without it!

Vapur foldable water bottle

You can see my Vapur water bottle nicely tucked in my suitcase from one of my travels late last year.

Another mega essential item for me is this easily foldable refillable water bottle by Vapur. This should be obvious but when you travel 99% of the time you are dehydrated, especially when flying. I love this super compact (when empty) water bottle because I can take it empty through TSA and fill up in the airport without having to pay $5 for a 16 fluid ounce plastic water bottle. I usually fill it up as soon as I get through security, right before my plane boards, and then again when I land. This way I am sure to drink at least that much water and have water for the next portion of my trip. Super easy to clean and air dry (so no mold); highly recommend!

Glass screen protector

Having a screen protector is good all year round! I really never used one until last year, when I noticed I had all these little scratches on my phone which made the image not great. When I bought my new phone I immediately purchased a protector to help keep that crystal clear image. I kind of thought I was ridiculous until the screen cracked. I had tossed it in my purse or something and it hit my keys and cracked the protector. Thankfully, this set comes with three so I switched it out and my phone’s screen was perfectly fine. By having this protector I can play hard while traveling without really worrying if my expensive phone is going to be damaged.

Addalock

As someone who grew up in LA and had some scary situations as a kid I know the importance of safety. So when I started traveling by myself and still wanting to have more of a local experience by staying at AirBnBs, I added the Addalock to my security routine. This tool fits in most doors and is just another layer of protection from a potential intruder. Honestly, if someone really wanted to get in your room, they could probably break down the door even with this. But for a more subtle or accidental entering this is super helpful. If you are staying at an AirBnB and the owner forgets what day you are done and tries to enter (probably would never happen but who knows), even if they unlock the door they still can’t get past this lock easily. Highly recommend for peace of mind and another layer of protection.

That is it! Those are my top Amazon travel purchased of 2019. If you buy any or have any other suggestions let me know in the comments below! I am eager to hear from you.
