As far as I can remember the years I was with my mum’s family we spent Christmas Eve all together. Every year we would act out the nativity and make sugar cookies. This year we added a new tradition!
Candy derby racing
My aunt and uncle put together this awesome track that we wiped down with lemon Pledge and we each made our cars using a Hersheys bar as a base!
We had loads of different holiday themed candies to choose from, including:
candy canes
Hershey’s kisses
Rolos
Hershey assorted bars
Christmas taffy
marshmallow Santas
peppermint patties
We put our cars together using hot glue guns and had only 5 minutes to design and build them. We each had very different designs. This was such a fun activity, I can’t wait for next year!
