Much to Do About May

Yes, I know May was over a month ago but so much happened and then it was all catching up sooo here we are. May was the month Jordan and I spent the first (almost) two weeks in the British Isles! We were home for a few days then spent some time in Los Angeles/Beverly Hills for my best friend’s wedding! Then we were back in Utah for my brother-in-law’s wedding. Between these major events, the rest of May and most of June was catching up.

British Isles

Friends! If you haven’t been to the British Isles yet you really need to jump on that! I will have a more focused blog post about this later (I am still going through allll of my photos). But, I wanted to give you a life update on our travel gear.

I was really apprehensive how we would manage traveling with no checked luggage. I am happy to say it went really smoothly, minus two moments! When we were leaving Jersey, I was asked to move my 3.4 fl oz items from my clear baggie I purchased to a ziplock.. honestly, it didn’t fit. 🤦🏼‍♀️ This is like day 3 of 12! Oops! Thank heaven Jordan had space so I could squeeze my dry shampoo can into his bag! The other moment happened on the way back to the states. Both Jord and my bags were pulled to be completely emptied. His because of our drone and mine because I had an empty travel perfume bottle in there! It wasn’t a big deal–more of annoying because I am such an OCD packer! But, by this point, I had it down and was able to repack in a snap, still embarrassing. Oh well!

I had a bunch of issues with my stabilizer and really only used it in London but WE LOVED OUR DRONE! I can’t wait to make a mini vid of all the footage we took! Jordan is such a pro and I am like so nervous that we are going to draw too much attention to ourselves. It is super cool! I think we just need to get in the habit of using it more and all will be well!

Lau’s Wedding

I have been a part of a variety of different weddings but Lauren’s was one of my favorites! Like no offense to all the weddings I have ever been to, but her and Jame’s wedding was so much my flavor. Let me list off why:

  1. I designed her invitations so I was a part of the entire process.

  2. She asked me to be one of her bridesmaids and damn! I was chuffed!

  3. Lau and I went cake testing and loved every minute of it.

  4. I got to wear a super pretty blush dress.

  5. Lau’s flowers were stunning.

  6. I had to keep it together walking down the aisle before her. I am such a sap for my friends.

  7. Her reception included a great dance party!

  8. She sat me and another bridesmaid and our dates at her table.

  9. She had non-alcohol toasting options.

  10. We ended the night in a group dance to Frank Sinatra.

Do I need to say more? I think not! It was so great and I can’t wait to see all the photos! 😍

Ethan & Kenzie

I can’t talk about May without mentioning my brothers-in-law’s wedding. They had a simple ceremony but it was so cute. I will never forget watching Ethan take some medicinal breaths as Kenzie walked down the aisle. I told you that I am a sap, and I love Ethan as if he was my blood, I am happy to say I held it together through that too! Another huge perk, was seeing all of Jordan’s fam who came for the wedding! It was so great! Jordan’s older sister came with her two girls and we got to spend some time with them before the wedding. I am like obsessed with our nieces. I have always loved Charlie and Cooper is such a hoot. Jordan’s Uncle Nate and Aunt Shauna came the next day to see our home and then in the evening we had bbq with the rest of Jordan’s fam.

May & June

As you can see, it has been a crazy month. June was catching up but Jordan and I also pup/house sat for my coworker for a total of a week and a half(ish). I feel like we have been on the go for so long and any “break” is just a small drip in the well. I would like to think that it will mellow out but, at the same time, I am loving having all of these adventures! And as I write this, we are on the road to Los Angeles! I will make time in between LA and my next adventure to write up about England & the Channel Islands.. but I make no promises!
